CBDT Issues Corrigendum to ITR-7: Corrections of Schedule Entries and other
The corrigendum was issued 11 days after the ITR Form 7 was published by the Ministry of Finance.

The Department of Revenue, under the Ministry of Finance, issued a corrigendum to an earlier notification issued on 30th March, 2026 through the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on 10th April.

The present corrigendum brings about corrections to G.S.R. 231(E) which substituted FORM ITR 7 in the Appendix of the amended Income Tax Act, 1962.
Through the corrigendum, the grey boxes in Schedule I were to be replaced with blank spaces.
Several formatting changes were made in the Schedule for Capital Gains (Schedule CG). Under row A, for sub-row (8), the following sub-row has been inserted – Pass Through Income/Loss in the nature of Short Term Capital Gain.
Lastly, few changes were made to the Schedule CYLA (Details of Income after set-off of current year losses) where revised figures and letters have been mentioned.
Pradeep Sharma, the Deputy Secretary of CBDT undersigned the corrigendum notification for the revised ITR Form 7 which contains various Parts, Schedules, Personal Details of taxpayer and information regarding their Income.

Corrections include amended formatting like the change in schedule OS (Income from other sources), in row 10(3b), removal of grey colour of the blank cells under column “upto 15/6” and “from 16/6 to 15/9” among other similar changes.
In conclusion, grey spaces were interchanged with blank spaces and row items, figures and letters were omitted and substituted from Schedules via Notification No. 62/2026/F. No. 370142/10/2026-TPL which was published in the Gazette of India on 10th of April, 2026.
