The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has issued Office Order Number 134 of 2025 announcing the transfer and posting of 47 senior officers in the grades of Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner.
The order, dated 14 August 2025, includes routine transfers, postings on promotion and assignments on return from deputation. Officers must be relieved by 22 August 2025 and join their new posts by 4 September 2025. Compliance reports must reach the Board by 12 September 2025.
A note in the order states that in some GST and Central Excise zones, officers will also handle duties for the corresponding Customs Preventive Commissionerates to improve coordination. All pending requests for transfer or posting from these grades are now treated as disposed of.
