One of the Big four accounting firms Deloitte has made another AI error again. This time, the report was prepared for the Canadian Government. The company has come under scrutiny once again after the AI - linked errors.

As per the reports of Times of India, according to an Independent, the document was commissioned to assess healthcare services in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. However it was found that the report has multiple factual inaccuracies including incorrect descriptions and misidentification of hospitals and healthcare facilities. It is suspected that Deloitte has used AI for generating the reports.

Later, the firm itself broke silence with regards to this and said that “firmly stands behind the recommendations put forward” in the healthcare report that included errors generated by artificial intelligence, reported The Independent.

This is not the first time the company is being trapped in the issue of AI. Last time, Deloitte, in the Australian Financial Review ( AFR ) reported AI errors.

The anonymous Deloitte Canada spokesperson said to The Independent that they are fully responsible for the quality of the work. The spokesperson said that they will improve their governance around the use of AI.

The usage of AI is good. It helps the work more earlier, especially when it comes to bulk accounting data. However, as the same technology is evolving, it is impossible to assure that it is accurate and the professionals can rely on the AI tools hundred per cent without any human checking.
