DGFT Announces 6-Month Extension of RoDTEP Scheme for DTA, AA, SEZ and EOU Exports: Know New Deadline [Read Notification]

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has released Notification No.35/2025 dated September 30, 2025, announcing a six-month extension of the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme for exports from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units, Advance Authorisation (AA) holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units and Export Oriented Units (EOUs)
The latest change effectuated by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade extends the applicability of the scheme beyond the earlier cutoff of 30th September, 2025, making it available for eligible exports up to 31st March, 2026.
The notification further directs exporters to Appendix 4R (for DTA units) and Appendix 4RE (for AA, SEZ and EOU units) on the DGFT portal for the detailed list of eligible export items, along with the applicable rates and per-unit value caps wherever may be applicable.

The DGFT has clarified that the existing RoDTEP rates as already notified shall continue to apply for all export items during the extended period and that the ongoing operation of the scheme will remain subject to the budgetary framework as set out in Para 4.54 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 to ensure that the remissions during the financial year are managed within the approved allocation.
The Notification No. 35/2025 has been issued by the DGFT exercising power under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, along with the approval of the Minister of Commerce and Industry and signed by the Director General of Foreign Trade and Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
