ED Attaches ₹18.1 Cr Assets Linked to 1xBet Illegal Online Betting Platform, Issues Public Advisory
The Enforcement Directorate stated that 1xBet was operating in India without authorisation and routing funds through dynamically generated UPI IDs linked to mule accounts

The Directorate ofEnforcement (ED) has provisionally attached movable and immovable assets linked to the illegal online betting platform 1xBet.
Through a press release issued on 2 March 2026, the Directorate stated the attachment of assets valued at approximately ₹18.10 crore under the provisions of the Prevention ofMoney Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
Investigation conducted by ED revealed that 1xBet operated in India without requisite authorisation and promoted online betting and gambling activities through multiple mirror websites which is illegal in the nation.
1xBet allegedly employed a concealed mechanism for collection of funds through dynamically generated Unified Payments Interface (UPI) IDs that were linked to mule bank accounts, thereby layering the “Proceeds of Crime” disguising the actual beneficiaries of the proceeds and
Further investigation revealed that Parthtech Developers LLP, which operates high-traffic cricket platforms CREX and OneCricket had entered into structured advertisement agreements with Bwise Media AG, Switzerland, for promotion of illegal betting platforms including 1xBet.
The ED recorded statements under Section 50 of the PMLA, which established that advertisements of 1xBet were directly booked, geo-targeted and executed on the CREX platform through Parthtech Developers LLP’s in-house advertisement server “Parth Adex.”
The Directorate cautioned members of the public to remain vigilant against illegal online betting and gambling platforms operating in India and to not transfer funds to suspicious UPI IDs or unknown payment links associated with such apps/websites.
With the current attachment, the total value of assets attached in the case pertaining to 1xBet rises to ₹37.23 Crore.
As the investigation continues, ED has requested the public to report any information regarding illegal betting operations, promotional networks, payment channels, or associated entities.
