What is the GST Composition Scheme?
The GST Composition Scheme is a simplified scheme mainly meant for small taxpayers. Under this scheme, eligible businesses can pay GST at a fixed rate and file fewer returns which reduces compliance burden. Businesses under the scheme have certain restrictions such as limited ability to make inter-state sales and they cannot collect GST from customers like regular taxpayers.
This online facility is expected to make the process easier and smoother for eligible businesses opting for the Composition Scheme for FY 2026-27.
