The recurrent and capricious denial of Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) registration applications for the same client, in spite of complete compliance and submission of all necessary documentation.

CA Himank Singla’s client’s GST application got rejected 3 times and they had applied for 4th time again. According to the CA, the rejection was without any cause. He shared the same through his ‘X’ platform tagging CBIC and Infosys GSTN.

He shared this along with a screenshot of the fourth application, which has remained in 'pending for processing' status for over 14 days: ‘3 times we have applied for GST Registration of this same client - all 3 times rejected for no valid reason even after attaching all valid documents and additional documents too from our side to prove genuinety.”

CA added that the fourth application was submitted over 14 days ago, yet it continues to remain in pending status, adding to the client's hardship.

Requesting you to please escalate the same and approve the same. Don't penalise clients for not getting GST number if your officers don't want to approve them without getting "satisfied", said the CA.
