ICAI Announces Exam Schedule for CA Foundation, Intermediate & Final - May 2026 [Read Notification]
ICAI has announced the examination schedule for CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses to be held in May 2026, along with details on timings, centres, and the online application process.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the examination schedule for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations for May 2026. The announcement was issued by the Examination Department on 12 December 2025, also covers examination timings, centres in India and abroad, the online application process, and applicable examination fees.
Examination Dates
The May 2026 examinations will be conducted as per the following schedule:
CA Final
- Group I: 2nd, 4th, and 6th May 2026
- Group II: 8th, 10th, and 12th May 2026
CA Intermediate
- Group I: 3rd, 5th, and 7th May 2026
- Group II: 9th, 11th, and 13th May 2026
CA Foundation
- 14th, 16th, 18th, and 20th May 2026
In addition, the International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT–AT), a post-qualification course examination open to ICAI members, will be held on 10th and 12th May 2026.

ICAI has clarified that there will be no change in the examination schedule even if any examination day is declared a public holiday.
Examination Timings and Duration
All examinations will generally commence at 2:00 PM (IST). The duration varies by paper:
- Most Foundation, Intermediate, and Final papers are of 3 hours
- Foundation Papers 3 and 4 are of 2 hours
- Final Paper 6 and all INTT–AT papers are of 4 hours
- A 15-minute advance reading time (from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM IST) will be provided for most papers, except for Foundation Papers 3 and 4, MCQ-based papers, and INTT–AT papers, where no advance reading time is allowed.

For CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations, ICAI has notified nine overseas centres, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Riyadh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kathmandu, and Thimphu.
ICAI reserves the right to withdraw or modify any examination centre at any stage without assigning reasons.
Online Application Process
All candidates must submit their examination application forms online only:
Foundation, Intermediate, and Final candidates must apply through the Self Service Portal (SSP) at eservices.icai.org.
INTT–AT candidates must apply via pqc.icaiexam.icai.org.
The online application window will open on 3rd March 2026. The last date to apply without late fee is 16th March 2026, while applications with a late fee will be accepted until 19th March 2026. A correction window for changes in examination city or medium will be available from 20th to 22nd March 2026.
Examination Fees and Medium
The examination fees vary depending on the course, group selection, and examination centre (India or overseas). Candidates can pay the fees online using debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI.
1. CA Foundation
- India: ₹1,500
- Overseas Centres: US $325
- Bhutan & Nepal Centres: ₹2,200
2. CA Intermediate
For Indian Centres
- Single Group: ₹1,500
- Both Groups: ₹2,700
For Overseas Centres (except Bhutan & Nepal)
- Single Group: US $325
- Both Groups: US $500
For Bhutan & Nepal Centres
- Single Group: ₹2,200
- Both Groups: ₹3,400
3. CA Final
For Indian Centres
- Single Group: ₹1,800
- Both Groups: ₹3,300
For Overseas Centres (except Bhutan & Nepal)
- Single Group: US $325
- Both Groups: US $550
For Bhutan & Nepal Centres

4. International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT)
- Fee: ₹2,000 (Same for all centres)
5. Late Fee (if you miss the deadline)

- Other Overseas Centres: US $10
Candidates appearing for CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations may opt to answer papers in English or Hindi. However, the medium for the INTT-AT examination will be English only.
