ICAI announces Mock Test Papers Series for CA Foundation September 2025 Exam [Read Announcement]

The Mock Test Papers Series will be conducted in two phases — Series I starting from August 11, 2025, and Series II commencing from August 25, 2025. Both series will offer students the flexibility to participate either through physical attendance at designated ICAI branches or via virtual modes, ensuring accessibility for students across the country amid varying preferences and circumstances.

Schedule and Subjects

The Mock Test Papers will cover all four papers of the CA Foundation Course:

• Paper 1: Accounting
• Paper 2: Business Laws
• Paper 3: Quantitative Aptitude
• Paper 4: Business Economics

The schedule for Series I is as follows:

• August 11: Accounting (2 PM – 5 PM)
• August 12: Business Laws
• August 13: Quantitative Aptitude (2 PM – 4 PM)
• August 14: Business Economics

For Series II, the schedule is:

• August 25: Accounting (2 PM – 5 PM)
• August 26: Business Laws
• August 28: Quantitative Aptitude (2 PM – 4 PM)
• August 29: Business Economics

Students opting for physical attendance are advised to contact their nearest Regional Councils or Branch offices of ICAI to register and confirm participation.

In addition to physical and virtual modes, the ICAI will make question papers for each subject available on the Board of Studies Knowledge Portal by 1:30 PM on the day of the respective exam. This will allow students who are unable to attend in person to download and attempt the tests independently within the stipulated time frames.

To further support student learning and self-evaluation, answer keys for each paper will be uploaded within 48 hours of the test's completion. This facilitates students to cross-check their responses, assess their performance, and identify areas that require further focus before the main examination.

The Mock Test Papers Series is a crucial step by ICAI to provide a simulation of the actual exam environment, helping students manage their time and exam-taking strategies more effectively. Given the competitive nature of the CA Foundation examination, this initiative is expected to significantly boost student preparedness and confidence.

Joint Director and Secretary of the Board of Studies (Academic) highlighted the importance of these mock tests, stating that “these practice papers are designed to familiarize students with the exam pattern, type of questions, and time management, which are critical to success in the CA Foundation examination.”

Students interested in participating, especially those preferring physical attendance, should contact their respective ICAI branches promptly. For ease of access, ICAI encourages students to use its digital platforms, including the BOS Knowledge Portal (https://boslive.icai.org/) and the ICAI BOS mobile app available on Android and iOS.
