ICAI extends Submission Date of Multipurpose Empanelment Form: Know Last Date
The institute has clarified that this will be the final extension, and no further relaxation in timelines will be granted since the panel has to be forwarded to RBI within the stipulated schedule.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ), through its Professional Development Committee (PDC), has announced an important update for members regarding the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2025-26.
In order to provide adequate time to practitioners and firms to complete the submission process, ICAI has extended the last date for online filing of MEF from the earlier deadline of 26th September 2025 to 10th October 2025. This extension comes as a relief for many members who were facing time constraints in completing the process.
The MEF is an important document for chartered accountants as it forms the basis for empanelment in various professional assignments, including the preparation of the Bank Branch Auditors’ Panel to be submitted to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The institute has clarified that this will be the final extension, and no further relaxation in timelines will be granted since the panel has to be forwarded to RBI within the stipulated schedule. Hence, members are advised to complete the submission process well in advance to avoid last-minute technical or procedural issues.
Before filling the MEF, ICAI has urged applicants to carefully read the Advisory, which provides detailed guidance for proper filing and compliance.
