ICAI Reschedules CA Intermediate 2026 Examination: Check here for New Date

The Institute of Chartered Accountants ofIndia (ICAI) has announced the rescheduling of the CA Intermediate Examination scheduled for May 2026 citing unavoidable circumstances.

In line with the announcement that was made later on April 6, 2026 the Intermediate Examinations are set to begin from May 5, 2026 rather than May 3, 2026 as initially scheduled. Nevertheless, the timing remains the same, i.e., 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).

It should be noted that there is no change in the schedule of other examinations such as Foundation, Final, and PQC – INTT-AT exams. These exams will continue to be conducted as per the earlier announced schedule.

This decision was made in order to facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination despite any possible issue. Candidates have been asked to visit the official website of ICAI to keep themselves updated.

Important Dates Revised:

• Group I: May 5, 2026; May 7, 2026; May 9, 2026
• Group II: May 11, 2026; May 13, 2026; May 15, 2026

This decision was made by Anand Kumar Chaturvedi who is the Joint Secretary (Examinations) of ICAI. All those candidates who are appearing in the Intermediate examination must take notice of these revised dates.
