ICAI Sets up Three New Branches in Rajasthan: Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Nagaur to Get Dedicated District Units under CIRC

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the formation of three new district-level branches in Rajasthan - at Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Nagaur. The new branches will operate under the jurisdiction of the Central India Regional Council (CIRC) and will officially come into effect from July 1, 2025, according to notifications published in the Gazette of India on 23rd July 2025.

As per the official notification No. 1-CA(7)/233/2025 issued under Regulation 159(1A) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Jhunjhunu District Branch has been formally constituted. The headquarters of this branch will be located in Jhunjhunu city and it will have jurisdiction over the entire district, including areas such as Malsisar, Buhana, Chirawa, Jhunjhunu, Mandawa, Nawalgarh, Gudha Gourji, Surjgarh, and Bissau.

Similarly, notification No. 1-CA(7)/232/2025 confirmed the setting up of the Churu District Branch of the Central India Regional Council. With headquarters in Churu, the new branch will serve all major regions within the district including Churu, Ratangarh, Sardarshahar, Sujangarh, Taranagar, Rajgarh, Rajaldesar, Bidasar, and Sidhmukh.

The establishment of the third branch at Nagaur is also part of the July 1 rollout, as per notification No. 1-CA(7)/231/2025. The Nagaur District Branch will have its base in the city of Nagaur and will cater to professionals in Nagaur, Ladnun, Nawa, Didwana, Parbatsar, Merta, Makrana, Jayal, and Degana.

All three branches have been constituted under the powers granted to the ICAI Council by Regulation 159 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations. According to the provisions, the new branches will function under the supervision, control, and guidance of the Council through the Central India Regional Council. They are required to comply with all directives issued from time to time by the ICAI Council to ensure consistent administrative practices and uphold professional standards.

These newly announced district branches are expected to enhance service delivery to CA professionals and students in the regions of Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Nagaur.

The notifications were issued under the authority of CA (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Secretary, ICAI, and mark a strategic advancement in the Institute’s outreach and governance infrastructure in Rajasthan.
