The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has made inaugural of Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) course for the 2025-26 calendar under the aegis of the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR)(Calendar 2025-26) on June 6, 2025 at Madurai.
The function was graced by CMA Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak, President; CMA TCA Srinivasa Prasad, Vice President; CMA Rajendra Singh Bhati, Chairman-CAT; MC Members of Madurai Chapter & Invitees.The goal of this important project is to equip retiring and retired military personnel with useful accounting skills so they may move into prosperous civilian employment.

As evidence of the program's increasing popularity, the DGR has given ICMAI the task of teaching the CAT course at more than 20 venues around India in the upcoming academic year. Compared to the 450 candidates trained in the 2023–24 cycle, this expansion is expected to train over a thousand defense professionals.
With a focus on computerized accounting and adherence to regulatory compliance, the CAT course is a comprehensive program created to give learners practical accounting skills. Graduates will be well-prepared for a range of accounting professions thanks to the curriculum's adaptation to the demands of the contemporary business environment.
Although the exact dates for the opening ceremonies at each of the more than 20 locations have not yet been revealed, the start of the 2025–2026 calendar signifies a strengthening of the partnership between ICMAI and the DGR. This alliance offers India's distinguished servicemen strong relocation possibilities, demonstrating a shared commitment to nation-building.

At a valedictory ceremony for the seventh batch of the course on March 7, 2025, at CMA Bhawan in Noida, the continued success of this partnership was recently emphasized.
