ICMAI Professional Development & CPE Committee Announces ‘Budget 2026–27 Decoded’ Webinar

The Professional Development & CPE Committee of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has announced a webinar titled “Budget 2026–27 Decoded” to aid members and professionals with a structured and practical understanding of the Union Budget 2026-27 that is slated to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The webinar will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM, in an online format. The session has been scheduled by the ICMAI a day after the presentation of the Union Budget, allowing participants to quickly gain clarity on the key proposals made before their implications begin to unfold across markets and businesses.
The Budget will set out the government’s taxation framework for the year ahead, spending charters, duties, and borrowing plan for FY 2026-27.
The Union Budget is framed against the backdrop of the earlier released Economic Survey. Key areas of interest include personal income tax proposals, capital expenditure and infrastructure spending, MSME support measures, GST compliance and refund mechanisms, incentives for manufacturers and rationalisation of customs duty.

Members can register for the webinar through the official ICMAI portal and sign in with their username and either their password or through the OTP mechanism. Members are required to join the live event through the registration link to avail CPE credit, with the link being activated 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
Non-members may attend the webinar by registering themselves using this Form.
