In a recent update to streamline online tax payments for taxpayers across the country, the Income Tax Department has released the latest list of 31 banks now available for its e-Pay Tax facility on the e-Filing portal.

A new bank named Yes bank Ltd has been added as 31st bank for e-pay tax service on 27th June 2025. The revised list includes a mix of migrated banks and newly added banks to ensure wider access and convenience for taxpayers who wish to make direct tax payments online.

Some of the major banks included in the updated list are Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICIBank, State Bank of India, and Punjab National Bank, which have been migrated under the new system.

Additionally, new banks such as Bandhan Bank, DCB Bank, IndusInd Bank, IDFC First Bank, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank, and Yes Bank have been recently enabled to offer the e-Pay Tax service.

It is expected that a broad range of taxpayers, including individuals, businesses, and professionals, will gain from the inclusion of regional and private sector banks alongside major public sector banks.
