MCA Relaxes Additional Fee for Filing CRA-4 up to 31st Dec [Read Circular]
MCA relaxes additional fees for filing Form CRA-4 for FY 2024–25 up to 31st December 2025.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, issued General Circular No. 07/2025 dated 27th October 2025, announcing a relaxation in the payment of additional fees for the filing of Form CRA-4 (Cost Audit Report in XBRL format) for the financial year ending 31st March 2025.
According to the circular, companies can file their CRA-4 forms without paying any additional or late fees if the filing is completed on or before 31st December 2025. This relaxation has been granted considering the recent deployment of the new CRA-4 form on the MCA V3 portal, which caused some delay and difficulty for companies and cost auditors in timely filing.

The MCA stated that several representations were received from stakeholders requesting an extension due to the transition to the upgraded MCA V3 filing system. After examining the matter, the Ministry decided to provide this one-time relief to ease compliance requirements during the system changeover period.
The circular also makes it clear that filings made after 31st December 2025 will attract normal filing fees and applicable additional fees as prescribed under the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014 and Rule 6(6) of the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, 2014.
The circular was issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Indrajit Vania, Deputy Director (Policy).
