MCA Works to Fix Technical Glitches on Version 3 Portal, LTI Mindtree Asked to Review Server Capacity and User Issues
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has directed LTI Mindtree to address server and user issues on its Version 3 filing portal as it works to fix technical glitches and improve user experience.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has started taking active steps to resolve technical and user-related issues being faced on the Version 3 (V3) portal, which is used for company filings and compliance under the Companies Act.
The ministry has also asked its technology partner, LTI Mindtree, to review the server load and check if the system needs additional capacity to handle growing traffic on the platform, according to official sources.
The V3 portal was launched on January 14, 2025, with 38 new e-forms. Unlike the older Version 2 system, where users had to fill and upload forms manually, the new version allows users to fill forms online, save half-filled applications, and complete them later. This upgrade was meant to make filing faster and more convenient for professionals such as chartered accountants, company secretaries, and cost accountants.
After the launch, several users faced technical glitches, such as problems with password changes, profile updates, saving form data, uploading attachments, and receiving prior approvals for some forms. These issues caused delays in the filing of annual returns and other statutory forms.
Officials said that many of the technical problems have already been resolved and that the number of user complaints or “tickets” being raised has been coming down steadily. Issues that remain unresolved beyond 48 hours are now being given priority attention, one senior official said.
The ministry is also working to improve user awareness. Information posts are being shared through social media, and open-house sessions are being organised to help users understand the new system. The deadline for filing forms has been extended till December 31, 2025, giving companies more time to complete their compliance requirements.
Despite the difficulties, the new system has shown encouraging results. In September 2025, a total of 23,113 new companies were registered on the portal, compared to 11,110 companies in the same month last year. The number of Director Identification Numbers (DINs) also rose by about 73 per cent, reaching 53,217.
