The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) is inviting applications from eligible advocates for empanelment to represent the NFRA before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
Scope of Work
Empanelled advocates will be assigned matters involving the NFRA before the Supreme Court, High Courts, NCLAT, NCLT, District Courts, and other forums. Their responsibilities will include drafting and vetting pleadings, petitions, affidavits, and other legal documents; offering legal advice on specific matters; and representing the Authority in hearings and proceedings.
Advocates may also be required to assist in interpreting statutory provisions, preparing legal opinions, and engaging in other tasks assigned by NFRA.

Tenure of Empanelment
The term of empanelment will be for a fixed period of two years. However, NFRA shall retain the discretion to curtail or extend the tenure beyond two years on the basis of performance, conduct, or administrative needs.
Interested candidates may note that empanelment does not guarantee allotment of cases and does not establish an employer-employee relationship with the NFRA.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 and shall possess demonstrable experience in handling litigation before judicial or quasi-judicial forums. Candidates should not have been debarred or suspended by any court or bar council.
Applicants should also have relevant experience or understanding of regulatory, corporate, or financial law. A clean track record and professional integrity are also key prerequisites, along with the ability to abide by given timelines and procedures.
Payment and Fee Structure
Advocates will be remunerated in accordance with this schedule upon submission of valid bills and supporting documents. No retainer fee will be paid. Payments are subject to satisfactory completion of the assigned work and acceptance by NFRA.
General Terms and Conditions
Empanelled advocates must maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest. They are prohibited from accepting any case against NFRA during the term of empanelment.
All communication and interaction with the Authority should be professional, and updates must be shared periodically. NFRA reserves the right to withdraw empanelment at any time without assigning reasons.

Application Process and Documentation
Applicants must submit their applications in the prescribed format to the given e-mail ID along with a detailed biodata. The biodata must include personal particulars, enrolment details, standing at the Bar, practice areas, significant case experience, and declarations regarding any disciplinary proceedings or conflicts.
