The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued a public alert warning companies and stakeholders about a wave of fraudulent emails circulating with the subject line “Discrepancy in filing MCA.” These emails, which appear to mimic official MCA communication, are reportedly being sent to several companies in an attempt to deceive recipients into clicking on malicious links...


The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued a public alert warning companies and stakeholders about a wave of fraudulent emails circulating with the subject line “Discrepancy in filing MCA.”

These emails, which appear to mimic official MCA communication, are reportedly being sent to several companies in an attempt to deceive recipients into clicking on malicious links or downloading harmful attachments.

In its clarification, the Ministry confirmed that these emails are not from any official MCA source. It has advised recipients to be cautious and reiterated that all genuine MCA correspondence is sent exclusively through email addresses ending with “@mca.gov.in. Emails from any other domain should be treated as suspicious and potentially harmful.

The Ministry has informed recipients to exercise utmost caution: do not click on any links or download attachments from unfamiliar sources. These scam emails may contain phishing links aimed at extracting sensitive data or infecting systems with malware.

If such emails are received, the Ministry recommends the following actions:

  • Do not click on any links embedded in the email.
  • Do not download or open any attachments.
  • Immediately report the email to cybercrime authorities.
  • Verify all MCA communications by visiting the official website: http://mca.gov.in
