The Calcutta High Court directed the Income Tax Department to consider the rectified order as there was a typographical mistake in the Income-tax order.

SS Commotrade Pvt. Ltd, the petitioner filed the writ petition pointing to the issue of a typographical mistake about the writ petition number mentioned in the income tax order.

The matter has come up at the instance of advocates appearing for the petitioner submitting that in the order dated 13th February 2024 there is a typographical mistake in recording WPA 4122 of 2022 instead of WPA 4122 of 2023.

Such mistake is corrected and WPA 4122 of 2023 is recorded in place of WPA 4122 of 2022. Justice Md. Nizamuddin held that “This order be treated as a part of the order dated 13th February, 2024. The department is directed to do the needful.”
