The Federal Tax Authority ( FTA ) has urged Resident Juridical Persons holding licences issued in June, regardless of the year of issuance, to submit their Corporate Tax registration applications by August 31, 2024.
This deadline is in line with the Federal Tax Authority Decision No. 3 of 2024, which sets out the registration timelines under Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 on the Taxation of Corporations and Businesses and its amendments, effective from March 1, 2024.

Emphasising the importance of timely registration to avoid administrative penalties, the FTA has communicated these deadlines through various official channels including print, visual, audio media, and its social platforms, as well as directly to registered company owners in the UAE.
The FTA specifies that both juridical and natural persons, including Resident and Non-Resident Persons, must adhere to these registration deadlines.
Detailed information on deadlines and related regulations is available on the FTA’s official website: https://tax.gov.ae/en/media.centre/news
According to the FTA’s guidelines, Resident Juridical Persons established before March 1, 2024, must register for Corporate Tax based on their licence issuance month. For those with licences expired by March 1, 2024, registration should reflect the original issuance month. In cases of multiple licences, the earliest issuance date applies.
