The Union Finance Minister ( FM ) Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha today. One of the very first development measures proposed by the FM proposes the initiation of a comprehensive development roadmap for Garib (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Food Providers or Farmers) and Nari (Women).
Recognizing the importance of the development of the above, one of the key facets of the election manifesto proposed by Prime Minister Modi's election campaign last year included improvements to the above sectors.
The Budget session chaired over by Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla started off with a tumultuous applause with factions of attendees making their presence known amidst the presentation of the budget by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government.
