The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present a record eight-consecutive budget on 1 February, 2025. The Budget is deemed to be a defining moment of the way forward for the NDA Government and the fiscal policies proposed to shape the trajectory of the nation.
The Budget 2025-26 shall be the first Budget to be presented by the Narendra Modi-led Union Government without a complete majority, with public morale having taken a hit following the deadly stampede at the Kumbh Mela which claimed 30 lives as per the latest reports.
All eyes are on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who took part in the Halwa Ceremony on January 24, 2025, and the presentation of the Economic Survey 2024-25 before both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

The Union Budget 2025-26 shall be presented in a two-part mechanism with the first part set to commence on 31 January 2025 and conclude on 13 February 2025; the second part of the Union Budget 2025-26 is slated to begin 10 March 2025 and end on 4 April 2025.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is touted to present the Budget Speech in the Lok Sabha at 11 A.M. on 1 February, 2025, detailing budgetary allocations, revenue expenditure, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Imports and inflation among a catena of related subjects relevant to the upcoming financial year.
The Union Budget 2025-26 shall be broadcast live at 11 A.M. on February 1 2025 on the official website of the Union Budget (indiabudget.gov.in) and on Sansad TV. Additionally, the session may be livestreamed on the official YouTube channel of Sansad TV as well.
