Uttarkhand Defers E-Way Bill for 10 Days

Following the Government’s decision to postpone the implementation of Electronic Way Bill and to continue the trial run due to technical glitches in the common portal, the Uttarakhand, last day notified that E-Way Bill is not necessary within the State for next 10 days.

A Notification issued on Thursday said that “no E-Way Bill is required to be generated in respect of the movement of any goods within the State for a period of 10 days from the date of issuance of this notification.”

Last day, the Central Government has decided to postpone the implementation of E-Way Bill system due to technical glitches in the common portal.

“In view of difficulties faced by the trade in generating e-way bill due to initial tech glitches, it has been decided to extend the trial phase for generation of the e-way bill, both for inter and intra-State movement of goods. It shall be made compulsory from a date to be announced,” the Official Twitter handle of the Government said.
