The West Bengal Government extended the last date for uploading Return data of Profession Tax Act, West Bengal Sales Tax Act and West Bengal Value Added Tax Act (including Central Sales Tax Act and Entry Tax Act) 8th May, 2017.
As per the rules, the due date fixed for filing returns was today, i.e, 30th April 2017.
The Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, West Bengal said this in a notification.
The office order by the Commissioner, Sales Tax Department dated 28.04.2017, said, “Since there are compelling reasons to extend the due date of submission of return under section 32 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003, read with rule 34A, rule 34AA and rule 34AB of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, now therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon me under rule 37A of the rules ibid, the due date of submission of return is extended.”
As per the orders issued, the last date of furnishing paper form/ acknowledgement of the above returns is 23.05.2017.
