CA Misconduct: ICAI Suspends Auditor of UAE Company for 3 Months [Read Notification]

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has suspended the senior auditor of UAE company for 3 months.
The ICAI has notified the removal of Chartered Accountant - CA. Bala Balaji M, Senior Auditor, Al Jaber Group LLC, Internal Audit Department, ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates from the register of members for a temporary period of 3 months with effect from 14th July 2023. The CA was found to be guilty of professional misconduct.
The Disciplinary Committee has also imposed a fine fine of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) only.
In terms of the provisions of Section 21B(3) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 read with Rule 18(17) of the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct of Cases) Rules, 2007, the Disciplinary Committee has held that the CA from the register.
In pursuance with the same provisions, the ICAI also removed other 6 CAs from the register of members for a short period and also imposed a fine on them. The Disciplinary Committee of the ICAI has always taken strict actions against the CAs by reprimanding them or suspending them..etc.
The other CAs removed are CA. Abhay Balkrishna Upadhye, CA. Neeraj Bansal, CA. Deepak Aggarwal, CA. Kumar G., CA. Veerendra Vishwanath Patil, CA. Ranganathan K.
