GST: CBIC waives Penalty for non-compliance to QR code provisions if compiled by April 01, 2021 [Read Notification]

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) notified the waiver of penalty for noncompliance to QR code provisions if compiled by April 01, 2021  for default during the period December 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.

The Board in exercise of the powers conferred by section 128 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, the Government, on the recommendations of the Council waived the amount of penalty payable by any registered person under section 125 of the said Act for non-compliance of the provisions of notification No.14/2020–Central Tax, dated the 21st March, 2020.

The penalty will be waived on the condition if the person complies with the provisions of the notification No.14/2020–Central Tax, dated the 21st March, 2020  from the 01st day of April, 2021.
