The Central Government is preparing to introduce a mobile application named ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ for both iOS and Android platforms, as part of the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar Scheme’. A notable aspect of this program is that individuals who upload Goods and Services Tax (GST) invoices could potentially receive cash prizes ranging from Rs. 10 lakhs to Rs. 1 crore through a lucky draw.

The scheme ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ was launched in Haryana, Assam, Gujarat and the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, and Puducherry.

The government has requested all the citizens to collect the GST bill for their purchases. All the invoices with value more than Rs. 200 are eligible for participating in the scheme.

Process to Download ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar App’

  1. Go to Google Play store/ ios app store on your phone.
  2. Search for ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar app’
  3. Tap on ‘Install’ button and download the app
  4. Open the app and Register it with your Mobile Number
  5. Upload GST invoice
  6. Get a chance to win Rs. 1 core in the lucky draw

Other Useful information for Participating in Luck Draw

  1. Upload GST Bill of your purchase on ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar’ App or web portal: web.merabill.gst.gov.in
  2. Only B2C invoices issued by CST-Registered suppliers Of the participating States/UTs to Consumers will be eligible
  3. Upload the Invoice issued for a month not later than day of the following month
  4. Maximum 25 invoices of minimum Rs. 200 value or more can be uploaded per month
  5. A GST invoice should contain GSTIN, Invoice Number, Invoice Date and Invoice Value

  1. 2 prizes of 1 crore every quarter
  2. 10 prizes of 10 Lakh every month
  3. 800 prizes of 10 thousand every month

This approach would enable the government to monitor businesses issuing counterfeit GST invoices and apprehend individuals who fraudulently collect GST even after its cancellation of its registration.
