ICAI Launches Self Paced Module Test ( SPMT ) Portal, Addition Fee of Rs. 500 Imposed
Under this new scheme, candidates who have passed both Groups of the Intermediate Examination must also complete and pass the Self-Paced Online Modules to qualify for the Final Examination

The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has launched the Self-Paced Module Test ( SPMT ) Portal, accessible at https://spmt.icai.org on 18th May 2024. The institute has fixed an additional fee of Rs. 500 for the test in India and for the abroad, the fee is different.
This portal is designed for candidates who have completed the prescribed learning hours for the respective Self-Paced Online Module A: Corporate & Economic Laws, and Module B: Strategic Cost and Performance Management. These modules are integral to the New Scheme of Education and Training introduced by ICAI on July 1, 2023.
Under this new scheme, candidates who have passed both Groups of the Intermediate Examination must also complete and pass the Self-Paced Online Modules to qualify for the Final Examination.
To facilitate candidates, the Examination Department now offers the flexibility to choose their preferred examination date, city, and exam slot from a comprehensive list of options. This allows candidates to create a testing schedule that fits seamlessly with their other commitments.
Candidates who have completed the prescribed learning hours for the respective Self-Paced Online Modules through https://lms.icai.org can register for the Self-Paced Module Test at https://spmt.icai.org using their SSP login credentials. These tests will be computer-based and conducted at specified test centres.
The exam fees for the Self-Paced Module Test are as follows:
India: Rs. 500
Nepal/Bhutan: Rs. 850
Abu Dhabi/Bahrain/Doha/Dubai/Muscat/Kuwait: USD 150
