The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued a fresh notification revising the schedule for the All India Bar Examination - XX (AIBE-XX). As per an updated notice released on October 28, 2025, the examination will still be conducted on November 30, 2025, but the timelines for online registration, fee payment and correction in the application form have been extended.
An earlier notification dated September 26, 2025 had fixed the last date for registration as October 28, 2025, with fee payment allowed till October 29, 2025, and form correction till October 31, 2025.
However, according to the revised schedule issued through the Bar Council of India Trust (PEARL-FIRST), the new deadlines have now been extended.
Online registration will continue to remain open till October 31 and fee payment will be open till November 1, 2025.
The last date for making corrections in the registration form is also extended to November 1, 2025.
The release of admit cards will begin from November 15, 2025.

The revised timetable aims to accommodate candidates who were unable to complete their applications within the earlier deadlines which would benefit a large number of law graduates across the country preparing to appear for the mandatory certification examination.
The notification, signed by Awanish Pandey, Additional Secretary of the Bar Council of India and Officiating Additional Secretary of the Bar Council of India Trust (PEARL-FIRST), reiterates that the passing percentage remains unchanged at 45% for General and OBC candidates and 40% for SC, ST and Disabled candidates.

Only upon clearing the AIBE will candidates receive the Certificate of Practice, which authorises them to appear before any court or tribunal in India. The exam evaluates candidates on key legal subjects such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Evidence, Family Law, Administrative Law, Intellectual Property Law and Taxation Law.
