CA Exams January 2026: ICAI Announces Exam Dates and Centers for CA Foundation, Intermediate, Finals, INTT-AT & IRM
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today (23 September 2025) announced the schedule for the January 2026 Chartered Accountants (CA) Examinations.

The institute has announced the dates and details for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final course exams, along with the Post Qualification Courses in International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT) and Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination.
The exams shall be conducted as per the schedule below:
Final Course
Group I: January 5 (Monday), 7 (Wednesday), 9 (Friday), 2026
Group II: January 11 (Sunday), 13 (Tuesday), 16 (Friday), 2026
Intermediate Course
Group I: January 6 (Tuesday), 8 (Thursday), 10 (Saturday), 2026
Group II: January 12 (Monday), 15 (Thursday), 17 (Saturday), 2026
Foundation Course
January 18 (Sunday), 20 (Tuesday), 22 (Thursday), 24 (Saturday), 2026
Post Qualification Examinations
INTT–AT: January 13 (Tuesday) & January 16 (Friday), 2026
IRM (Modules I–IV): January 9 (Friday), 11 (Sunday), 13 (Tuesday), 16 (Friday), 2026
ICAI has declared that no exam shall take place on January 14, 2026 (Wednesday) due to the Makar Sankranti, Magha Bihu and Pongal festivals which shall take place across India.
ICAI has stated no alteration may be made to the present exam schedule even if any exam day is later declared a public holiday by the central, state or local authorities.

Exam Timings
Foundation: Papers 1 & 2 – 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours); Papers 3 & 4 – 2 PM to 4 PM (2 hours).
Intermediate: All papers – 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours).
Final: Papers 1–5 – 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours); Paper 6 – 2 PM to 6 PM (4 hours).
INTT–AT: All papers – 2 PM to 6 PM (4 hours).
IRM: All modules – 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours).
Candidates appearing for the exam shall receive 15 minutes as Advance Reading Time from 1:45 PM–2:00 PM on the respective dates. The Advance Reading Time will be there for all papers except Foundation Papers 3 & 4 and all PQC exams. For papers with both descriptive and MCQ sections, the MCQ seal will open only at 2 PM.
Overseas Exam Timings
Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat – 12:30 PM local time.
Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait, Riyadh – 11:30 AM local time.
Kathmandu – 2:15 PM local time.
Thimphu – 2:30 PM local time.

Application Process
Students must apply online through the Self-Service Portal (SSP): https://eservices.icai.org.
Login format: SRN@icai.org with password. New candidates must register through SSP.
Post-Qualification Course (PQC) candidates for INTT–AT & IRM must apply separately at https://pqc.icaiexam.icai.org.

Deadlines for Application Submission
The online application process for the January 2026 CA Examinations will begin on November 3, 2025 (Monday). The last date for submission without late fee is November 16, 2025 (Sunday).
Candidates may still apply with a late fee of ₹600 (India/Thimphu/Kathmandu) or US $10 (overseas) until November 19, 2025 (Wednesday). A correction window will be available from November 20, 2025 (Thursday) to November 22, 2025 (Saturday) to allow changes in exam city or medium.
Examination Fees
The prescribed fees for various courses are as follows:
Foundation Course: ₹1,500 for Indian centres; ₹2,200 for Thimphu and Kathmandu; US $325 for other overseas centres.
Intermediate Course: ₹1,500 for a single group and ₹2,700 for both groups in India; ₹2,200 (single group) and ₹3,400 (both groups) for Thimphu/Kathmandu; US $325 (single group) and US $500 (both groups) for overseas centres.
Final Course: ₹1,800 for a single group and ₹3,300 for both groups in India; ₹2,200 (single group) and ₹4,000 (both groups) for Thimphu/Kathmandu; US $325 (single group) and US $550 (both groups) for overseas centres.
Post Qualification Courses (PQC): INTT–AT – ₹2,000; IRM – ₹2,000.
Late submissions beyond the regular due date will attract a late fee of ₹600 (India/Thimphu/Kathmandu) or US $10 (overseas).
Payment Methods
ICAI accepts the examination fees through online modes such as VISA, Master, Maestro or RuPay debit/credit cards, Net Banking and BHIM UPI.
Medium of Examination
Candidates appearing for Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations may opt to write their papers in either English or Hindi. However, for Post Qualification Courses, namely INTT–AT and IRM, the examination will be conducted only in English. ICAI has further directed students to refer to the guidance notes hosted at SSP for detailed instructions regarding medium and related guidelines.
