The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) announced that its Training and Educational Facilities Committee has revoked the affiliation of 33 CMA Support Centres after they failed to admit, register or enrol students under the CMA Syllabus 2022.
The Institute has cautioned students and the public not to associate with these centres and clarified that it will not be responsible for any dealings undertaken with them.
The list of the 33 centres whose affiliation has been revoked and their corresponding centre numbers is as follows:

The CMA Syllabus 2022 contains revisions to the curriculum components for the Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses with total marks of 400, 800 and 800 respectively.
One of the key features of the 2022 syllabus is a progressive curriculum structure that begins with business laws, accounting and quantitative skills at the Foundation level; areas such as financial management, corporate reporting, taxation and strategic cost management in the higher stages as students advance towards the higher stages.
At the Final level, candidates can choose one elective from Strategic Performance Management and Business Valuation, Risk Management in Banking and Insurance or Entrepreneurship and Startup at the time of enrolment.
The 2022 syllabus has been in effect from the June 2023 examination term, with a transition phase from the 2016 syllabus and a one-time conversion option for existing students, who are also required to obtain the updated study materials.
Beyond academics, the curriculum integrates 140 hours of combined soft and technical skills training in areas such as SAP Finance, Microsoft Office, e-filing and interpersonal skills; 40 hours of tutorial workshops linked to specific papers including data analytics, financial modelling, strategic cost management and forensic audit; a seven-day industry-oriented programme; and 15 months of practical training.
The ICMAI’s notice dated August 7, 2025 reiterated that the withdrawal of affiliation with the 33 centres was solely due to the non-admission of students under the 2022 syllabus and cautioned all stakeholders against engaging with the listed centres.
