Fake ICAI Result Date Notification Sparks Confusion Among CA Students
Until ICAI formally declares the result date, the students are advised to remain patient and avoid speculation.

A huge wave of confusion has spread through the Chartered Accountancy(CA) students' community after
A notification claiming that the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation results (January 2026 exams) would be declared on 4th March 2026 began circulating on social media.
It is fake that CA Dhiraj Khandelwal very clearly clarified on the platform X (formerly Twitter), that a new committee has not yet been formed and that one exam had been postponed, making a slight delay in results likely. So results may instead be released between 6th to 8th March 2026, but only after ICAI issues an official announcement.
The alleged notice, dated 23rd February 2026 and appearing to be from ICAI’s Examination Department, specified result timings 2:00 PM for Final and Intermediate and 5:00 PM for Foundation—and directed students to check results on the official ICAI portal.
Because of this students groups and educators quickly raised doubts about the authenticity of the document. Students are being urged to rely only on ICAI’s official website and verified social media channels for updates.
As we all know, the CA qualification is divided into three levels:
- CA Foundation
- CA Intermediate
- CA Final
Each level has its own exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme. Students need to be clear about them to qualify as chartered accountants. The new schemes reduce the number of papers but increase the emphasis on practical skills and global relevance. It also integrates modern subjects like technology, international taxation, and strategic management, ensuring that future Chartered Accountants are equipped with skills relevant to both domestic and international contexts.
