To remind the taxpayers the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has issued a public reminder that Form GSTR‑7 for the tax period of April 2026 must be filed by May 10, 2026.

The announcement, shared through GSTN’s official communication channel, it helps taxpayers to avoid late fees and penalties.

Form GSTR‑7 is a monthly return required to be filed by entities mandated to deduct tax at source (TDS) under GST provisions.

GSTN has reminded registered taxpayers required to deduct TDS under Section 51 of the CGST Act including government departments, local authorities, and notified entities to file Form GSTR‑7 for April 2026 by May 10.

Late filing attracts a fee of ₹100 per day under CGST and ₹100 per day under SGST, totaling ₹200 per day, capped at ₹5,000.
