ICAI announces CA Foundation and Intermediate Results held in January 2026: Know Pass Percentages
Out of 41,798 candidates appeared for both groups of Intermediate, 3,924 candidates cleared both groups simultaneously.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has officially announced the results of the Chartered Accountants Foundation and Intermediate examinations held in January 2026.
In the CA Intermediate Examination,for Group I, a total of 1,05,526 candidates appeared, out of which 14,733 candidates successfully passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 13.96%.
In Group II, 69,477 candidates appeared, with 10,798 candidates clearing the group ( 15.54% ). Meanwhile, candidates who appeared for both groups simultaneously numbered 41,798, out of which 3,924 candidates passed (9.39%).
The institute also released details of the top three rank holders on an All-India basis for the Intermediate examination, along with the marks secured by them.
Along with the Intermediate results, ICAI also declared the results of the CA Foundation Examination conducted in January 2026.
As per the released data, 1,09,694 candidates appeared for the examination across 566 examination centres in the country. Out of these, 21,099 candidates cleared the examination with an overall pass percentage of 19.23%.
In terms of gender-wise performance, 57,238 male candidates appeared, with 11,523 clearing the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 20.13%. Among female candidates, 52,456 appeared, of whom 9,576 passed, a pass percentage of 18.26%.
The institute also released CA final examination results on 1st March 2026 where 7,590 candidates qualified as CAs.
