ICAI Denies Exam Data Breach, Confirms Portal Was Only for Examiner Training
The institute reaffirmed its secure examination process amid social media rumours of a data breach.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially dismissed claims circulating on social media regarding a supposed security breach in its examination systems.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Committee, ICAI clarified that the portal being referred to, examiners.icaiexam.icai.org, is solely a training and orientation platform for examiners. It has no connection with examination records, answer books, marks data, or any sensitive student information.
The institute categorically stated that no examination data has been compromised and urged students, members, and stakeholders not to believe unverified rumours. ICAI emphasized that its examination processes remain secure and are protected by robust IT safeguards.
The announcement further warned that ICAI will initiate legal action against individuals or entities spreading misinformation. Stakeholders have been advised to rely exclusively on official ICAI communications for updates.
This clarification comes amid heightened speculation on social media, reinforcing ICAI’s commitment to transparency and the integrity of its examination system.
