Although the exact numbers will be confirmed following the official result announcement, the pass rate for May 2025 is anticipated to stay between 15 and 20 percent, from the past records.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) is likely to declare the results of the Chartered Accountancy ( CA ) examination conducted in May 2025 in July. In May, the institute conducted all three stages of the exam, that is the foundation, inter and final.
The May 2025 CA examinations were held in a phased manner, beginning with the CA Final on 2nd May, followed by the CA Intermediate on 3rd May, and the CAFoundation from 15th May onwards. Alongside these, the Institute also conducted the International Taxation- Assessment Test (INT–AT), the results of which are likewise expected to be declared in July 2025.
Along with the CA Intermediate and Final exams, the CA Foundation exam will now be part of the May examination phase, which is an important change this year. The Foundation test did not take place in May until 2024. However, beginning in May 2025, ICAI modified its schedule for conducting the Foundation exam three times annually.
The ICAI press release of 8th May 2024 stated that “In a landmark move by ICAI, Intermediate & Foundation course examinations will now be held thrice annually in January, May/June, and September, as opposed to the previous schedule of twice a year. Meanwhile, the CA Final exam will continue to follow the traditional biannual format.”
