ICAI to Pause Self-Paced Online Module Tests in Mid-August for SPOM Portal Upgradation

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a temporary suspension of its Self-Paced Module Tests (SPMT) due to scheduled maintenance and upgradation of the examination portal.
The move comes as part of ICAI’s continued digital enhancement initiatives to improve the performance, reliability and user experience of its SPMT portal.
As per the official notification dated August 2, 2025, issued by the Examination Department of ICAI, no SPMT tests shall be conducted between August 11, 2025 and August 20, 2025.

Once the upgrade is completed, the slot booking for the Self-Paced Module Tests will resume from August 21, 2025, allowing students to continue their assessments without further disruption.
The SPMT portal is a dedicated online platform facilitating Self-Paced Online Module (SPOM) assessments. Candidates who have completed their learning hours through ICAI’s Learning ManagementSystem (LMS) can appear for module tests at their convenience through the portal.
The exams are conducted on a daily basis (excluding government holidays) at designated centers across India and abroad.
Candidates who have completed modules SET A, B, C, or D and are eligible to appear for the SPMT must use their SSP credentials to log in and register on the portal. In case of technical issues or registration concerns, ICAI has provided support through dedicated email IDs:
