The latest edition, presented during our Programme on the Topic "Financial Governance and Accountability in Cooperatives" held on June 10, 2025, at Sikkim, which was attended by various government dignitaries.

The latest edition of the Journal encompasses a wide variety of articles that extensively cover topics pertinent to cooperative development ranging from rural sustainable development, employment generation through cooperatives, and cooperative healthcare initiatives, to specific case studies illustrating successful cooperative models in different Indian states.

Key themes include "India's Cooperative Movement: A Pillar for Rural Sustainable Development," "Health Cooperatives: A Step to Improve Rural Health and Well-being," and "Empowering Farmers through Cooperatives under PM-KISAN and PM Fasal Bima Yojana”.

In his foreword, CMA Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak, President of ICMAI, stated that while today’s world stays marred by economic disparity and environmental challenges, cooperatives serve as dynamic agents promoting inclusive development, shared ownership, and democratic governance.

Nayak stressed the journal’s role as a facilitator between academic research and practical experiences, aiming to further cooperatives position as transformative institutions across sectors like agriculture, finance, housing, and digital platforms.

Chairman of the Cooperative Development Board, CMA Navneet Kumar Jainhighlighted the global significance of 2025 being declared as the International Year of Cooperatives by the United Nations, he described the release issue to capture the spirit, achievements, and future aspirations of the cooperative movement.
