The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), has issued a call for applications to the prestigious post of Secretary within the body.
The appointment will be made either by direct recruitment or on a full-time contractual basis for an initial period of three years, and may be extended on the basis of the performance of the hired candidate.
As per the official notification published on the ICMAI recruitment portal, this role comes with a high-level pay of ₹2,05,400 per month in Level 16 of the 7th CPC, with the annual CTC approximating ₹55 lakhs, inclusive of DA, HRA and other perquisites.
The Secretary will serve as the head of administration and is expected to support the ICMAI Council in framing and executing institutional policy, in line with the provisions of the Cost Accountants Act and related regulations.
The Secretary position further plays an integral role in overseeing strategy, national and international representation and interaction with high-level government officials, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and professional institutions.
Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must be members of ICMAI and must acquire fellow membership at the time of joining.
A graduate degree is mandatory, with additional qualifications such as membership of ICSI or ICAI, an MBA, LLB or a Ph.D. also being desirable.
The applicant must have at least 25 years of post-qualification experience, including 5 years of regular service at pay level 14 or above, with a CTC not less than ₹40 lakhs per annum.
Experience in administration, accounts, finance or academic leadership within professional institutes, universities, government bodies or the industry is essential. Candidates seeking to apply for direct recruitment must be aged between 50 and 58 years, while those applying for the contractual position may be up to 60 years old.
ICMAI has informed that the place of posting shall be Delhi/NCR, however with the candidate having to undertake extensive travel as part of their duties.
