ICSI Opens Registrations for Certificate Course on Regulatory Framework for Capital Market Intermediaries in IFSC
The course covers a range of topics including an introduction to GIFT City and IFSCA, legal and regulatory frameworks for capital market intermediaries, broker-dealers among others.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has opened registrations for the “Certificate Course on Regulatory Framework for Capital Market Intermediaries in International Financial Services Centres (IFSC)”.
ICSI announced the news through a post on X (formerly Twitter), and invited eligible candidates to enrol through its online portal.

The self-paced learning course aims to provide finance professionals with a specialized knowledge of legal and regulatory architecture for capital market participants operating under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA).
The course shall cover the following topics:
- Introduction: GIFT, IFSC and IFSCA
- Legal & Regulatory Framework for Capital Market Intermediaries (CMIs)
- Broker-Dealers in IFSC
- Clearing Members in IFSC
- Custodians
- Debenture Trustees in IFSC
- Investment Advisors in IFSC
- Investment Bankers in IFSC
- Credit Rating Agencies in IFSC
- ESG Ratings and Data Products Providers in IFSC
- Research Entities in IFSC
- Global Access Providers in IFSC
- Depository Participants in IFSC
- Distributors in IFSC
Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountants, Cost and Management Accountants, ICSI Executive and Professional Programme students and graduates from recognised universities can enrol for the course, which shall be delivered through the ICSI Learning Management System (LMS).
Enrolled participants shall receive online study materials that will be accessible for up to one year.
The assessment tests shall be conducted through a remote proctored mode, and consist of 50 multiple-choice questions that are to be attempted within 60 minutes. Candidates must secure a minimum of 50 percent to pass. with no negative marking scheme.
Interested participants are required to remit a registration fee of ₹3,000 +GST, while each assessment attempt costs ₹1,500 +GST.
Successful participants will receive an e-certificate valid for three years and will be awarded 15 structured Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
