The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced a training session for its officers to strengthen their understanding of Email Communication and Security Protocol through a circular issued on 14 November 2025.

The training is organised by the Email & Messaging Division of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) which supports technical operations relating to official communication systems across governmental departments. The session has been structured to familiarise DGFT officers with essential practices governing official email communication, procedures and security requirements that are to be adhered to while utilizing official communication platforms.
The Email Communication and Security Protocol training shall be conducted by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade on 21 November 2025, at Room No. 31, Ground Floor, Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.
The session will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Directorate has further requested all concerned Officers to attend the session punctually.

In today’s digital environment, it is of paramount importance for government departments to ensure strong security practices in official communication. Officers handling sensitive matters must stay alert to common risks such as email phishing, spoofed messages, OTP-based scams, malicious .apk files and other tricks used by miscreants to gain unauthorised access.
