The DirectorateGeneral of Foreign Trade (DGFT), functioning under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India has officially notified the fixation of a new Standard Input Output Norm (SION) for the export product ‘Sodium Citrate’ under the ‘Chemical and Allied Product’ Group.
The fixation was notified through Public Notice No. 9/2025-26 dated 7th June 2025 and establishes SION Serial Number A-3686, which will regulate the input-output mechanism for export transactions involving Sodium Citrate.
Exporters manufacturing Sodium Citrate for export shall now be permitted to import 0.740 kg of citric acid monohydrate for every one unit of Sodium Citrate to be exported under the Advance Authorization Scheme.

The promulgated input-output ratio shall be the governing standard for all subsequent exports under this product group and shall also facilitate duty-free imports of duty-free imports of citric acid monohydrate for eligible exporters

The Notice has been undersigned by the Director General of Foreign Trade, who is also the Ex-Officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
