The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) notified the panel for scrutiny of nominations for elections to its Twenty Fifth Council and Twenty Fourth Regional Councils.
The ICAI empowered under sub-rule (3) of rule 12 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 read with sub-regulation (10) of regulation 134 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 notified that the Panel for the scrutiny of nominations for elections to its Twenty Fifth Council and Twenty Fourth Regional Councils to be held in December, 2021, shall be composed of CA. (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Returning Officer and Acting Secretary, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002; Ms. Ritika Bhatia Director General (Commercial-II) Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India 9, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg New Delhi-110 124; and Mr. Tharvinder Singh Deputy Secretary Ministry of Corporate Affairs 5th Floor, ‘A’ Wing, Shastri Bhavan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road, New Delhi -110 001.
The members are nominated by the Central Government in terms of Rule 12(2) of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006.
