The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) issued Notification No. 54-EL(1)/13/2024, Dated December 26, 2024, officially announcing the names of Chartered Accountants elected to the 26th Central Council.
The Central Council is the ICAI’s apex decision-making body. It plays an important role in representing the interests of Chartered Accountants, setting strategic directions, and guiding the profession. The council members are elected to ensure representation from all regions, maintaining the institute’s commitment to inclusivity and governance.

The election was conducted in accordance with Rule 36 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006. The elected members come from five key regional constituencies:
