The Supreme Court dismissed review petition filed by the Income Tax Department in a major relief to ZTE Corporation.
ZTE Corporation is a Chinese partially state-owned technology company which specializes in telecommunication services. The company was founded in 1985 and the company’s core business is wireless, exchange, optical transmission, data telecommunications gear, telecommunications software, and mobile phones. ZTE primarily sells products under its own name, but it is also an OEM.
The company has been committed to providing innovative technologies and integrated solutions for global operators, government and enterprise, and consumers from over 160 countries across the globe.
A Two-Judge Bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice BR Gavai observed that “Delay condoned. We have carefully perused the review petition as also the grounds in support thereof. In our opinion, no case for review of the order dated 30.07.2021 is made out. The review petition is, accordingly, dismissed.”
