The Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India will hold a Press Conference on Economic Survey 2023-24. Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran will address the concerns raised by the media representative with regards to the Economic Survey 2023-24.
The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2023-24 before the Lok Sabha today at 1 pm and the press conference of the Chief Economic Adviser is scheduled at 2:30 pm.

The Economic Survey provides a detailed analysis of the economy’s current state, key financial indicators for the fiscal year, and projections for the coming year. It offers very valuable insights and guidance on what to expect from the Union Budget 2024-25.
The survey is prepared by the Ministry of Finance under the guidance of the Chief Economic Adviser and thus he is the most eligible person to talk about the survey. It is prepared and presented before the parliament every year.
The Economic Survey 2021-22 warned of rising imported inflation and emphasised boosting small farmers’ productivity, climate finance for Net Zero by 2070, and crop diversification. It also highlighted the threat of Omicron to tourism and stressed the importance of vaccination for economic recovery.
The Finance Ministry has conveyed the information through ‘X’ account where many have commented with numerous demands and requests. One has commented that “Sir, Plz take up the injustice faced by FixedDepositers(FDs)in Future Enterprises Limited(Big Bazaar) under insolvency where FDs are proposed to forego 95%of there savings as haircut,How can individuals bear such exploitation unlike banks where they can write off as NPA”
Another has asked that “How IBC 2016 help Kishore Biyani to write off is debit by siphoned the fund of PSU bank and FD Holders now claim himself wilful defaulters after having crore of rupee and property hey mera India Mahan where poor are getting poorest and richest are being safeguard”.
