The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued Notification No. 41/2024-25 amending the import policy for specific electronic integrated circuits and parts listed under Chapter 85 of the ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-1 (Import Policy).
The requirement for compulsory registration under the Chip Imports Monitoring System (CHIMS) has been discontinued with immediate effect.
Amendment to the import policy conditions for the following ITC HS Codes:

The notification was issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry and has been signed by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
