The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) will host the prestigious World Forum of Accountants ( WOFA ) 2025 from January 31 to February 2, 2025, at the Yashobhoomi, India International Convention and Exhibition Centre ( IICC ) in New Delhi. The event is set to welcome over 8,000 delegates from more than 40 countries, making it the largest accounting festival in India.

Themed “Accountability Meets Innovation (AI): For A Sustainable Planet,” the forum underscores India’s commitment to economic growth, sustainability, and good governance, resonating with the visionary goals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event will feature over 150 globally renowned speakers addressing more than 40 sessions focused on critical issues in the accounting profession.

The inauguration will be graced by Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Defence, as the Chief Guest. ICAI President CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal highlighted the significance of WOFA 2025, describing it as a vital platform for discussing emerging trends, digital transformation, and sustainability in the financial sector. “This event is a landmark step towards positioning India as the global hub for accounting,” he remarked.

The three-day forum will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including CA. Suresh Prabhu, Shri K. Sanjay Murthy, Ms. Madhabi Puri Buch, and international luminaries such as Mr. Tom Seidenstein and Mr. Jean Bouquot. Topics for discussion range from the rise of India’s banking sector and digital economy to the integration of ESG metrics into financial statements and the regulatory challenges posed by AI.

CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, ICAI Vice President, emphasized the forum’s relevance in the digital age, urging professionals to adapt to transformative technologies like AI while upholding ethical standards. The event will also include an awards ceremony to honor outstanding contributions by ICAI’s regional councils, branches, and professionals.
